On that same day, another team of police had to respond to reports of a man found on the Southern Highway. When they arrived they found the lifeless body of a man identified as Valentino Cal, a resident of Santa Rosa Village.
Today Senior Superintendent Romero told us that at this time, it appears that Cal was the victim of a hit-and-run accident:

"Again, on Saturday, the 1st day of May 2021, police visited the Southern Highway, near Santa Rosa Village, where upon arrival, they saw the lifeless body of a male person. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He was identified as Valentino Cal, a laborer of Santa Rosa Village. We are presently conducting an investigation, and a post-mortem will be conducted."

"Yes, this is a separate incident that we responded to."
