And another family is also searching for their own loved one. 32-year-old Alex Guzman went missing on Saturday in the Cayo District. He had been staying at a campsite for work near Spanish Lookout - clearing fields for farmers - when his coworkers said he began acting strange. His family does not suspect foul play but they are still worried and have launched their own search parties. His nephew, Ivan Alfaro, spoke with us via telephone today.
Ivan Alfaro- Nephew of missing man
"He came to work behind the Spanish Lookout area all the way past Yal Back area. Lagoon Bank, that is the area where he was working. He came on Friday."

"And since then, he never returned back home?"
Ivan Alfaro

"No. The guys that were waiting for him said that on Saturday when they got up he was up already and they got ready to start the working day and he was just standing there quiet. He didn't say anything. He was just standing looking kind of mad and silent. He didn't have any problems with anyone. What happened is that right after he went to work he stayed at the camping area because the other guys that were with him thought maybe he was tired or something, he was not feeling well. He stayed. They left him here and they went to work, which is not far away from where they were camping. So when they came back for lunch time they noticed that he wasn't there anymore. They thought maybe he went fishing to the nearby lagoons or creeks so they had lunch and then after lunch they went back to work and in the evening when they got back he wasn't there again. He was missing since the morning. That is when we got the call that he went missing. We don't suspect anything like that because he didn't get into trouble with anyone. The way it seems is like he maybe had something else in his mind because he was going through some problems, especially with alcohol. So, we believe that maybe something got into his head and he just went his way."
The public is asked to call 614-5668 if they have any information on Guzman.
