33-year-old Ramiro De La Rosa is back at home tonight after more than four weeks behind bars. His story caught the attention of the nation after his deceased father's licensed shotgun was found in his attic - which he had no clue about. He was advised to plead guilty and he did, but was given a 3 year sentence.

His community reached out to get assistance for him and attorney Orson OJ Elrington took the case. Yesterday, De La Rosa was released on a bond. He will have to go back to court eventually for his appeal, but his wife and kids are just happy that he is at home with them.

But despite the relief, there is still concern, since his wife says prison has left him traumatized and he had to seek medical attention.

Voice of: Merli De La Rosa, Wife
"First to all, I'm grateful to God, he has heard our prayers. We have prayed, we have a lot of people praying for us and I'm so grateful. First, all honor and glory to God, second a lot of people, Ms Nancy Marin, my husband family, the village council of Duck Run, all those people in Belize that were there for us, they're heart was for us. I'm very happy with the results of what happened."

"In the beginning it felt like a terrible situation, which it was, but I'm happy with the results most of all, very happy. Me and my husband, we have always tried to stay away from harming anyone or being in anybody's business right and when I heard about this and I fell int this right, I couldn't believe there was someone or how, you know? I didn't know how to react to this because the pain, it's a hard pain, you never, me sincerely never thought I would fall in something like this."

"He used to suffer anxiety but this has made it worse. He is a calm person at all time, like I said, we tried to stay away from this kind of things. He has always been a conservative person, to himself, to us, and we know he's a good person, and falling into this, just made it worse because sometimes you think how can a good person go through something like this. He was in shock, he was in panic because of the treatment how the police just came into our house, walked all over our house, searched our house, so that's why he went into this situation that made him hospitalized. I can see his sadness in him."

Merli De La Rosa said that while she could not afford Elrington's services, she is grateful he helped them pro bono.
