

They were caught on camera in a street brawl that was seen all across Facebook, and, today, 3 men were arraigned on a charge of grievous harm for it.
They are two well-known residents from the Majestic Alley, 24-year-old, Keifer McKenzie, and 28-year-old, Stephen Flowers, a Construction Worker of Pinks Alley, and a Taximan from nearby Munoz Alley - 48 year old Kelvin Francis.
The trio - all unrepresented - appeared before Chief Magistrate, Sharon Fraser in Court #1 and was read a single charge of grievous harm upon Deleon John David. They all pleaded not guilty.
But Chief Magistrate, Fraser, asked the men what is their defence since they were caught red handed on surveillance camera.
First to speak was Stephen Flowers who said that he has seen no video and as far as he knows he is innocent until proven otherwise.
Francis the Taxi-man told the court that it was he and the victim who got into a fight. He claim Deleon John David caught his taxi and when he arrived at this destination he refused to pay him.
That is when Flowers claimed he jumped in and because Francis is his relative, he said he could not just watch someone taking advantage of his family in his presence.
Chief Magistrate Fraser granted them bail of $2,000.
All 3 men met bail with conditions in which they must not interfered with the victim while the case is before the court.
Their case was adjourn for October 28, 2021.
Stephen flowers recently beat the murder of Leon Gentle-Bernard, a resident of Belize City who was stabbed to death on Barracks Road.
