And Courtenay's threat wasn't the only one caught on camera. 59-year-old Mercedez Pais, otherwise known as Rudy Pais, recorded himself threatening to harm his common-law wife before going to her house and beating her with a steel pipe. Reports are that this confession recording was made days before the incident and in it, he lamented that his wife, 27-year-old Roxana Garcia, and her family, quote, "ruined his life." He also blamed the police department for issuing her with a restraining order against him and he blames the judge who will inevitably sentence him.
