Last week we reported on the apparent COVID cluster affecting staff at the San Ignacio Community Hospital.
Well, a release says all that is now over. All staff at the hospital who were diagnosed with COVID-19 during the third week of August have now been medically cleared. Reports tell us that many of the staff who had tested positive for COVID in a rapid test came back negative in a PCR test.
Services will continue to be provided including 24 hour Accident and Emergency, and Labour and delivery services.
Also, the delivery of services at the Santa Elena Clinic has been fully restored, while the San Antonio and Bullet Tree health centers will reopen by phases.
