And one person Bradley feels is being unjustly punished is Epifania Caliz, as we've told you she is the common law wife of Corporal Elmer Nah who was found inside her husband's vehicle where over 100 funds of police issued ammunition was found. Bradley says that's more than a trumped-up charge and this evening he gave us the low down on the particular circumstance of the couple's arrest.
Dickie Bradley, Attorney
"There were 5 police officers. The 4 I represented were, I'll give you a classic example of how things can be damaging. In the case of Cpl. Elmer Nah who is a high profile police officer in the G13."

"He is also Vidal's nephew."
Dickie Bradley, Attorney

"You see how the media bring it in. So he is detained on the southern highway 2 days after the plane landed. He is searched, because the police had set up a cordon and check points and so and because the new had already burst from hours after the matter come that oh police officers in a unit. So you find officer Nah on the road. In a previous plane landing on that road around the 19th November ten years ago, they literally planted one bullet in a vehicle to snag some police officers, so look at officer Nah, 2 days after the plane has landed and dozens of people are around Bladen and Trio finding cocaine, two days afterwards he is on the road coming from a family social event in Punta Gorda where there are witnesses and that is in fact true. He is in his own vehicle, he is driving, he is with his common-law wife and brother. The police claim they found a bullet proof vest, they found a firearm and they found a large quantity of ammunition. They charge his common-law wife, why? How? ordinarily? we are all in a vehicle and illegal stuff is found and nobody is owning up for it, we all go."
"Officer Nah said to his superiors these things are issued to me in my capacity as a police officer. In fact in writing here I can show you, the lawyer is submitting that these things belong to the police department. How can you charge a police officer for things that belong to the officer. You are not saying he stole it from them. In any event look at that, officer Nah name is total mud in this country because of that. There is nothing so far that links him to any drugs, any drug plane, but he is Elmer Nah, he has robbed a lot of people wrong and is accused of doing all kinds of things, so Nah, crucify him right now, give me the nail and the hammer let us crucify him."
Reporter
"The common-law wife, she is accused of possession of ammunition. Did she get bail today?"
Dickie Bradley, Attorney
"She got bail in the magistrate court."
Reporter
"Is it in the same amount as the gentleman?"
Dickie Bradley, Attorney
"No, she got a signed bail, because she is an innocent bystander who should never be charged. Any lawyer whether they consult obeah lady or not, any lawyer will get her off an allegation that she is responsible for ammunition in her husband's vehicle when he is owning up to it."
Bradley says that Nah continued to own up to the possession of his government-issued ammunition in court, with his instructions to him being that it's presence in the vehicle was lawful. We note here that Nah was on leave at the time.
Epifania Caliz, who like her husband is a public servant, has since been placed on half-pay.
