And turning now to crime news, we've been keeping a close eye on the area off West Canal called Rocky Road. It's been in turmoil since Sunday when the father of the area's gang boss was cruelly targeted and killed.

It's the killing of an innocent man that has heightened tensions in the area, put the cops on alert, and set them off on a manhunt not just for Ben Hyde's killers but for his son Christy - the Rocky Road boss.

Yesterday you saw the Commissioner's meet and greet to calm tensions in this very area, but the cops returned in a very different spirit today, armed and - residents say - on a rampage, allegedly searching for Christy Hyde - and knocking down anyone in the way.

We're told that's what happened to one young man.

By the time we got there he'd already been tossed in the back of a police mobile but his family was visibly upset, hurling insults at the cops and doing their best to drive them away.

Tonight one of their numbers tells our news team that he wants the "harassment" to stop. He spoke to us off camera:

Voice of: Resident, Rocky Road
"The police came and they started to manhandle people and they came like we are committing any offence, like we are going out there to shoot people or do gun violence. We are mourning a loss of our family; we are not troubling anyone. It's unfair for them to come and do that to us, because we are not giving any problems and if they are coming with those kinds of brutal force to abstract people and chancing people and taking advantage of people, then that's totally unfair. They are harassing 3-4 times a day. As you turn, they are here."

"What exactly did they do this time?"

Voice of: Resident, Rocky Road
"Well, they grab a young man and beat him and burst his mouth for no reason. At the end of the day those kinds of things are very unjust, because we are not doing anything. Its not like they meet this young man in the act trying to shoot or rob somebody. They just came in our area and beat us up for nothing. They have killed our family and we are not looking for revenge. We are holding our peace and mourn the loss of a loved one. We are holding the peace and relax. Every time they come here they meet us relaxing. There must be a point in time where these men [police] could just pass and leave us. They are looking at us like a target."

"Talk to me about the effects is it having on the children that lives here?"

Voice of: Resident, Rocky Road
"It's leaving them traumatize. You know what it is to see police coming with big guns like we are at war in Afghanistan. Shots are bursting around here and it's not like anyone is pulling gun on them or have weapons to make attack on the police. When they come, we humble ourselves, because we know they have a job to do. But come on, give us a break, every minute they are coming."
