Of course, there are two sides to every story - and the reason police are charging hard in that area - is to suppress violence. So far, they have located two guns in the hotspot.
It's a bust that's being celebrated by the department because - especially with the current tensions - it could mean that lives were saved. Now, the ComPol said they're trying to figure out who the guns belonged to - and they make no apologies for conducting searches:

"The presence of the police in the area on the grounds led us to the recovery of one 9mm pistol this morning for which one person is being arrested and charged. Shortly thereafter, police made another bust of a.38 revolver. That one again we're trying to see if we can tie it to the person who had it. But again, our presence in the area, constant operations, constant stop and search, is yielding results and we're going to continue our efforts in that are for as long as we deem fit to do so."
