Police Commissioner Chester Williams sent out a press release this evening to warn the public that police will be enforcing the 7:00 pm curfew - which remains in place tonight.
His statement notes that as per statutory instrument number 143 of 2022, the Belize District, excluding San Pedro and Caye Caulker, have been placed under a curfew from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., effectively yesterday until Sunday.
His statement says, quote, "...residents are hereby advised to conduct their business within the prescribed hours, and adhere to, the Curfew Regulations." End quote.
