At the top of the news, we provided extensive coverage of the aftermath of the holiday weekend double murder in Belmopan. The brothers: 38-year-old Jon Ramnarace, and 29-year-old David Ramnarace, were killed by a gunman who was caught on camera.

Police have since charged one of their own, Corporal Elmer Nah for the outrageous crime.

The beloved Ramnarace brothers were treated to the same execution-style slaying reserved for notorious street figures, but all the information we've seen suggests that they were law-abiding citizens.

And that's why the Wildlife Conservation Society is choosing to remember Jon Ramnarace for his positive contributions to conservation in Belize. He joined their team as a technology specialist who brought his knowledge and expertise to enhance the work of his conservation colleagues.

Our news team met him in February 2019 when marine conservationists were deploying aerial and underwater drones.

For context, we take you back to demonstrate his love of technology and conservation and then you'll hear what his boss at the Belize chapter of the Wildlife Conservation Society had to say about his impact:

A press release from the WCS says, quote, "Jon brought his gregarious nature, enthusiasm, and technology competency to our conservation programs, supporting many national initiatives intended to help safeguard Belize's marine and terrestrial resources."
