By now, we've all seen the footage of the daring robbery at New PK Store in San Ignacio. Well, as we told you last night, the thieves may have been daring, but the cops were quick to recover, and caught the suspects right after the robbery.
At around 9:30, police searched Deon Gongora's home on Venus Street, in the Hillview area of Santa Elena where they found a loaded 9 millimeter pistol, a pink and blue bag that contained coins in different denominations - which are presumably the proceeds of the robbery - as well as a black Bulletproof vest. and an assortment of male clothing.
Present in the house were 26 year old Gilbert Pandy, 45 year old Luis Castellanos, both Santa Elena residents, and the homeowner, 30 year old Deon Gongora. 28 year old Tishane Theus, from Belmopan was also on the property, and he was caught removing items from a Black Geo Prizm. He also had money in different denominations on him - and the same was found in the car. All those men have been detained pending charges.
