A family is grappling with grief after losing their 6-month-old.
It's a death that's caused major contention between the child's parents and the Corozal Community Hospital hospital that treated her, because while her parents believe her death is due to medical malpractice, the postmortem reflects that a congenital defect made it so that the infant was unable to clear the phlegm from her lungs, even while nebulized.
Tonight, we have both sides of that contention but we start with David Roy and Stephanie Macfarlane who spoke to CTV3 to demand justice for their daughter.

Doctor Gilharry also told us that while the Macfarlane's feel that their baby had an adverse reaction to the Tropium that was administered to her, any adverse reaction would have involved hyperventilation and airway constriction which the attending nurse would have noticed.
Doctor Gilharry also addressed the Paediatrician who the parents claimed told them that their baby quote: "should have died a long time ago." explaining that based on the diagnosis the paediatrician had made of the child's condition he had concluded that her congenital defects made it unlikely that she would have survived as long as she did.
