Many UN Agencies, One Roof

The United Nations has a new home here in Belize. Last Friday, the new UN property was officially inaugurated, which will see various agencies in one building. The new UN House is located on the 2nd floor of the David L Mckoy Business Center in Belmopan, and the ceremony was held on the rooftop. The Prime Minister explained the feats that the UN has helped Belize achieve, while the Resident Coordinator to Belize spoke about the UN's presence in the country.

Other UN agencies like IOM, UNICEF, UNFPA and PAHO will continue to be housed in Belize City, and UNHCR will remain at Marigold Street in Belmopan.
