
And while securing airfields is now a new priority - fortunately police don't have to enforce currency exchange regulations. That's the job of the Central Bank and the commissioner of police has already flown in the face of those with his permissive statements about how one of his senior cops allegedly changed a thousand US dollars he had received from a vehicle sale.
Now, we've been saying throughout that most of us change money on the black market and ignore those exchange regulations - but it's another matter for the country's top lawman to publicly endorse the flouting of those regulations as a legitimate way to do business.
But, while we were simply pointing that out - today the Commissioner pouted - and said 7News is being personal with him:

"Last week you endorsed one of your commanding officers for changing money on the black market did you realize at the time that you were endorsing breaking office and central bank regulations for exchange controls."

"Please tell me if you or your director had never ever changed US currency with anybody either to go to the US or to do otherwise what is the issue? Why do you people continue to push an agenda? I don't want to get personal but I believe that the media house for which you work has become extremely personal with me and I'm trying not to stoop to that level so again I'm not going to answer that question."
