Former Foreign Ministers Assad Shoman and Godfrey Smith today issued a statement on the conflict between Palestine and Israel.

They say, quote, "The relentless and indiscriminate carpet-bombing by Israel of Gaza, which has already taken over 8000 lives, more than 3000 being children, is in gross violation of international law and must end immediately...."
