And today the police minister more or less re-iterated what he said last week. He pulled the old politician's move of saying he didn't see the report - but again conceded the breach of the exchange control regulations and deflected to the compol:

Jo
"Your Commissioner of police endorsed one of his officers violating the Central Bank long established exchange control regulations. I called the black market but it's actually illegal. Have you chided the country's top lawman for this?"

Kareem Musa, Minister of Home Affairs
"Have I chided him? I actually the top law man is right there as you can see you can bring him on board. I still don't know the details of this transaction you speak of from what again the media has told me and perhaps the commissioner can clarify someone transferred money to another individual another officers account and again these are things that you were asking me to comment on that I don't know all the details so perhaps you need to find out more about that transaction before I can but like I mention on the last occasion, if it is a breach of the financial regulations, then you know we have to mention that."
