Could a case of mistaken identity be the motive behind the most recent shooting in the north? 28 year old Orlando Vasquez was at his mother's home in Joseito layout on Saturday night when he was targeted and shot twice in the neck after being called out of the house by an unknown individual. ACP Romero told us today that they are looking at potential suspects for this latest shooting.

"On Saturday, 20th of January 2024, around 8 p.m., Corozal police responded to an area in the Joseito, layout area, where they found Orlando Vasquez, 28 years with gunshot injuries. Orlando Vasquez reported that he was at home when he heard someone whistle."

"He came out to see who it was, at which point a male person fired several shots towards him, causing injuries to him. He is at the hospital receiving treatment and is in a stable condition. We are seeking one suspect."
