Three weeks ago we told you about 22 of the unionized Social security Inspectors who all went to their headquarters in Belmopan SSB to meet with the CEO and demand answers about a fellow inspector. They say that colleague who is not a part of the union - had avoided all transfers - while the rest of them were transferred every three years.

Well, they didn't get a satisfactory answer from the CEO and today 15 of the 29 unionized inspectors called in sick. This is after they received a letter from management on Thursday basically saying that their industrial Aston on January second, would be treated as a day absent from their post - even though they were on the compound at SSB headquarters.

The workers take that as an act of intimidation and that prompted the sickout.
