In slightly related news...
Earlier this month, one woman along with three men were halted at the northern border attempting to cross into Mexico, in possession of fake Israeli passports.
The group was not detained and now Immigration authorities in Belize have launched an investigation to question the four individuals. Today we asked the Minister of Foreign Affairs for an update and here's what he told us.
Francis Fonseca, Minister of Foreign Affairs & Foreign Trade

"I was briefed about it very much but we have had the Ministry of Immigration. They have been looking into that matter but you're not at this point we really don't know much we don't know much but I know that the Israeli government they have been trying to find out more about these nationals, and they have committed to sharing whatever information they have with us here in Belize but at this point we know very little."
According to our reports, only two of the passports were fake and the other 3 were authentic.
