Yesterday, we told you that the DPP has recommended a charge of theft for car dealer, Amado Badillo. He's being accused of taking $65,000 from a Caye Caulker doctor without delivering the promised vehicle.
Badillo has not been charged, but he has bigger problems because there are other complaints and pending suits.
We asked the Minister of Police about it today:
Kareem Musa, Minister of Home Affairs

"Yes but it would require that those individuals whose money he has taken, they would have file a police report. In many instances they choose to go the civil route to court to recover their money as opposed to taking a criminal complaint so if it is that he is to be charged by everybody, they would all have to take their cases to the police and give a formal statement."
