We asked the Minister of Education for comment today as it relates to teachers' participation in politics. He didn't know the specifics of the Burns case, but here's what he had to say about ti generally:
Francis Fonseca, Minister of Foreign Affairs & Foreign Trade
"The TSC is a bylaw, an independent entity authority so you know I imagine you would have to speak with the chair of the TSE but I really don't know anything about that matter. All I would say is that you know you are not above the rules you are not below the rules everyone should be treated fairly, but if you, you can't be just because you are running for politics doesn't mean that you are exempt from certain rules, so I don't know what the particulars of those cases are, but I would imagine campaigning I don't see why you would want to camp during school time."
