Jared Ranguy, the son who killed his mother by stabbing her 33 times, and his step-father and sister by shooting them inside their Marage Road home in Ladyville asked the judge for a sentencing indication. And he or his attorneys probably didn't like the answer they got.

Justice Nigel Pilgrim told him that he could face 3 life imprisonment term without the possibility of parole until after serving 40 years in jail - that is, minus the 11 years he has served on remand.

That basically means that Ranguy would have about 29 years left to serve for the murders, if he accept the court's offer and pleads guilty.

We won't know for sure until the next court date on March 15, 2024 if Ranguy will accept the sentence on the advice of his attorney, Godfrey Smith.

Ranguy has changed as many as 6 attorneys in the long and unresolved progress of his case.
