In last week's news we told you about 34 year old Aaron Wilson, who was charged by a police officer in Ladyville for boisterous behavior after he recorded their interaction inside the station. He was detained for 20 hours, and managed to secure station bail. This long detention for a minor offense became a cause of much complaint by crown counsel Riis Cattouse who accused the police of human rights violations.
Wilson appeared in court yesterday with his attorney Dickie Bradley to answer the charge.
But after two hours of waiting no court book was brought over and so they decided to leave. Here's what they shared while they waiting outside the court yesterday:

Aaron Wilson
"Well, this morning I came to court as I was charged for boisterous behavior and I'm here from nine o 'clock this morning and there's no nothing from the police department here for me. So I'm wondering what what am I doing here?"
Reporter
"Okay, earlier I saw you sitting to the back with your attorney. Why where were you placed in the back?"
Aaron Wilson
"Well, I got a bail. I got a police bill. I want to know if I will get detained, if I will get released, if they will throw away that charge, if they will proceed, I don't know."
Reporter
"What is your attorney perspective on what's happening right now, Mr Bradley?"

Dickey Bradley, Attorney
"No, he has, like anybody else, he has been given a document in which he used to come to the court at nine o 'clock this morning and you were here."
"He has been here from 8:45 waiting patiently. It is now after 11 o 'clock and the court officer said to him that no book has been lodge. They have not sent any document to the court so that he can be formally arraigned nor has they shown any courtesy and manners to him by saying to somebody in authority that the charge will not be pursued or it is going to withdrawn."
"He has a formal charge for a criminal offense of making noise in a police station and you all know the background concerning that matter, but it is unfair. He's a businessman. He had something to do at 8 o 'clock but couldn't get it done because he's out here living up to the conditions of his requirements under a station bail."
