And in other news of political intrigues....
Tonight, the hostilities between Shyne Barrow and UDP street General Brian Yellowman Audinett have intensified. 7News has confirmed that Yellowman has written a formal letter of complaint against his own leader and sent it to the party chairman for him to act on. Now this kind of petty party feuding would not normally be news - but 7news has learned that Yellowman makes some strong claims of impropriety against his party leader.
We asked the party chairman Michael Peyrefitte to comment on it and he dismissed the significance of the complaint saying, quote, "This is the UDP sir. We complain about each other all day everyday. This is not news."
When we pressed him to discuss the specific allegations of the complaint, he said he only entertains "complaints with evidence" - and no evidence has been offered.
As we reported last night, Yellowman was yesterday fired from the UDP Secretariat - after many years of service. Barrow told us he had nothing to do with it and referred us to the Secretary General Shary Medina.
