
And 3 persons went to court in Belize City today for handling those stolen items. They are 34 year old Randy Slusher, 34, who pleaded guilty to two counts of handling stolen goods 0 one of the items was an 1800 dollars Samsung cell phone. Police found him with it while he was at his girlfriend's home - but she was set free after he pleaded guilty.
And this afternoon, Roy Alvarez also pleaded guilty to handling a Dell Laptop stolen from Courts Belmopan.
Both men were fined - Slusher for 1,250 dollars and Alavarez for 75 dollars. Alvarez told the court that he paid $200 for the laptop off the streets.
And even though Slusher and Alavrez pleaded guilty and were fine, both were escorted back into custody today by CIB police where they were transferred to Belmopan and handed over to police where they could face other charges related to the burglary.
NOTABLY, a little over a year ago police charged Slusher along with 4 others for allegedly going equipped to commit major crime when they were found in a van loaded with crowbars, gloves, a cutter, tie straps and other equipment.
