Cop Remanded, Accused Of Raping Minor

A cop from the Corozal district is behind bars tonight for four counts of rape of a child.

He is 34 year old Anival Carillo.

A 14 year old minor along with her mother filed a report on Friday alleging that Carillo had sexual relations with her several times between 2022 and 2023. Carillo was arraigned at the magistrates court and no plea was taken. He was remanded to prison and is expected to reappear in court on November 26th.

Carillo has been placed on interdiction.
