And according to the Commissioner of Police, police presence has been heightened in hot spots. He added that this shooting is a part of the ongoing gang rivalry. He gave us more details via Zoom.

"We have Andre Kerr who was driving his Chevy car on Faber's Road extension when two male individuals on a motorcycle approached him and fired multiple shots in his direction injuring him in his upper body. The assailants then made good their escape. Kerr was subsequently transported to the hospital and he's admitted in a stable condition. I want to also add that the scene was processed and we have retrieved several expended shell casings. The motorcycle used in the shooting was also recovered and we're looking for two persons of interest. I also want to add that the shooting appeared to be a targeted attack and we're pursuing all leads to apprehend the suspect and we urged anyone with information to come forward and assist in this investigation."
"My officers are working around the clock, we have increased visibility in all those hot areas, we're also monitoring the situation on the ground and we're conducting targeted operations, especially in those areas of concern. We've also increased the police visibility within the perimeters of all those areas of interest."
