And while Acting Compol Jones says he will do it "his way" - is he really doing things his way or is the man who is still the substantive Commissioner Richard Rosado over his shoulder? We asked Jones today:

"But how much of this is on you? Because you are just an acting compol. Mr. Rosado is still the compol and presumably can still give orders. Are you having to work in concert with Mr. Rosado to apprise him of xyz?"

"Well, as I have indicated to other sections of the media I think last week or so, Dr Rosado has not been, has been on leave and he has not been interfering with the work on the department thus far."
"And so, certainly, I have the leeway to do what I can do with, in concert with the commanders who are the ones that are on the ground, the commanders in Eastern Division, the operational commanders to see how we can address this situation."
