Police are closer to coming to a conclusion in the death of Any Suazo, a 21 year old Camalote village resident who - investigators believe accidentally shot and killed himself 10 days ago.

Smith told us what the post mortem found and what the evidence points to:

"As it relates to the investigation pertaining to Mr. Swazo, what I can s ay is that several statements have been recorded, both open statement and caution statement and the postmortem examination has been conducted."

"The postmortem examination, the doctor was not able to conclusively come down on any position either side."

"So it is still an ongoing investigation. Where the evidence takes us, that is where we will go."

"Those have formed part of a case file and it will be forwarded for guidance. However, the indication as was stated before is that it is suspected to have been an accident. The evidence that we have gathered so far is in support of that. However, it is not a closed investigation. We continue to investigate this matter in the interest of being thorough."

"Yes. The indication that we have received in relation to the evidence that we have is that it may have been accidentally self-inflicted. We have recovered the firearm."

"I do know that it's an illegal firearm. I don't know if the tracing has been completed to for me to be able to speak to the history of it."
