A family in the Orange Walk District lost their one year old son after he was hit by the vehicle his father was driving. The incident occurred on Monday night in the Mennonite Community of Indian Creek and today, ASP Smith gave us the details.

"Police are investigating the death of 1 year old Peter Wall which occurred on 18th May 2026 sometime after 8:15pm. The investigation commenced on the aforementioned date and time when officers were advised that a child had succumbed to injuries he sustained at his residence which is located at Camp 53 in Indian Creek Village, Orange Walk District. What we have learned in the course of this investigation is that the father of the child reported that he left his home and entered his vehicle and it was when he was taken off that he was alerted by his wife who was signaling that something had happened. He exited the vehicle and inspected it where he observed that the child was struck by the vehicle and succumbed to the injuries. A file has since been compiled and sent to the office of the DPP for the directives."
