His murder trial ended in a nolle pros but he won't walk free because he still must serve time for unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor. That man is 37 year old Jeffery Pott, who had been detained in June of 2024 in connection to the murder of Dion Bowden that occurred in Pitts Alley.
Pott appeared in court today with his attorney Lyden Jones, before justice Candace Nanton but the Prosecutor for the Crown, Robert Lord entered a nolle pros motion bringing the matter to and end.
But he wasn't fee to go because Pott is still left to serve 2 sets of prison terms: a total of 20 years for 2 counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a 14 year old, and another 3 counts for when she passed the age of 14. Pott was found guilty of 3 counts of sexual intercourse with the minor in 2025.
