This weekend nearly a hundred artists and thousands of visitors converged on Placencia, not for a lobster fest but for an arts festival. The Placencia Peninsula Art Association held their second annual Sidewalk Art Festival where the main strip of the coastal village was be-decked with sculptures, jewelry, furniture, drums, dolls, quilts and other works from 89 artists. Man at work Terryl Godoy was the man with a camera for the festival and here are some excerpts of interviews he conducted with fellow artists.

Terryl Godoy, Man at Work
"Its wonderful to be here in Placencia painting on the main street and we look forward to doing this next year again because I've seen so many different artists here including myself. We're very grateful to be here and the tourists are so plentiful."

"A lot of artists out here, really nice art work, great people, the weather's been perfect, everybody's been friendly, and it's been a great show."

Artist from Belize City,
