You may not know Louis Maskall's name and you probably haven't seen the posters about him. But before you do, he wants to set the record straight. The karaoke star says someone is out to destroy his reputation and before they do, he wants you to know you the truth. He drew our attention to a flyer about him posted in downtown Belize City.
Louis Maskall,
"Couple of days ago I've been receiving phone calls from couple of my friends who told me about this paper here. It is a paper with some very serious comments about Louis Maskall. I just want the public to know that whatever you see here, there is truth to it and it is of no value. I am not worried about my reputation exactly but I have a family and it doesn't only affect me in my personal life but it also affects my family."
Keith Swift,
Why would someone want to defile your name?
Louis Maskall,
"Ever since appearing on Channel 5 KTV Karaoke, I've had numerous amount of comments being passed but this has been the worse. I felt that it is just somebody who obviously thought I shouldn't have won or somebody who has some personal vendetta against me which is why I need to let the public know this is of no value. I just don't think its fair for people, who don't even know me, to stop here and read something like this because basically they will be judging based me on something they read on a piece of paper that is of no value."
After our interview Maskall removed the flyer and crushed it.
