Kenny Morgan's tune "Sinista Minister" became an anthem for the uprisings in 2005, his "Madda Young Gyal" made him the king of brukdong in December, while his "Reality Check" at the Lik It poetry show in April still has people talking. Well, if you're a fan of Kenny Morgan, now you can get all those songs on one CD. It is a four track set titled "reality check." he told us why it is a must buy.
Kenny Morgan,
"Whenever we put together any kind of musical compilation we try to make sure it has a positive or positive messages in it. We sincre4ly believe that the art form of music is one of the most relevant that we can use to try to get positive messages to our youths and we try to incorporate that into all our projects."
Keith Swift,
Which song is your favorite?
Kenny Morgan,
"Immediately reality check because that is the one I believe with the most potent and most powerful message. It is a song that talks about the situation with regards to the fact that they still haven't been able to apprehend the person responsible for the murders of so many of our young children and basically the adults and the parents still don't seem to be cognizant of that fact that we need to continue protecting the young ones and keep them away from the evils that are waiting for them out in society.
The first reaction we want to see is people taking care of our young children, unparticular the female in our societies. It seems that people still aren't aware of the fact that there are threats out there and for every young child who is not told the right thing by their parents and guardians, there are so many people out there waiting to tell them the wrong thing. So we want to see people starting to paying more attention to the rearing and nurturing of the young children to make them into productive citizens."
The CD is available at all record stores or from Morgan himself. Morgan plans to release a full studio album later this year.
