Yesterday evening the Minister of Health Jose Coye received a preliminary report on the investigations into the death of 2-year-old Kimorah Leslie. Today he met with Leslie's family members to basically give them his condolences and say the report is not yet done. Kimorah's grandmother Shaun Lemott spoke to us after the meeting.

Shaun Lemott,
"Well he mainly just called us to give us his condolence about the incident that happened and mainly he wanted to know our version of what happened from April 25th when we first took Kimorah to the emergency department. So he wanted to know our side of the story."

Alfonso Noble,
As far as you know, we received reports that the report was submitted to him and he has perused, it. What has he told you about the report?

Shaun Lemott,
"Well he hasn't told us anything about the report as yet, nothing about the report. I put it to him, I told him I saw on Channel 5 that the preliminary report will be heard today but he said that's not so because they haven't finished the investigation as yet."Alfonso Noble,
He gave you his condolence today, are you satisfied that at least it seems like something is being done?

Shaun Lemott,
"Yes I am satisfied that something is being done because now it looks like they are serious now. they are acting like they are serious so I am satisfied with how it is going right now so I satisfied."

Coye would not comment on the investigation today. We did however speak to spokesperson Glenn Tillet who says that the report is not yet complete. Adding that the family's version of events were not taken into consideration in the report that was submitted. There are also other points that were not thoroughly looked at and the Minister sent the report back to the investigating team for further work.

Among those things that need to be revisited is the recommendations put forth. It is believed that they were not substantial and were made terms that were too general.
