Five months after the Phillip Goldson Bust at the Belcan roundabout came crashing down.…it has been restored.
Sculptor Steven Okeke had agreed to restore the bust after it was knocked off its pedestal by a drunken driver on the morning of the Belize City carnival.
The works for its restoration to a fitting pedestal was officially completed by the MIDH today, and the iconic Goldson was hoisted back up onto the prominent where it stood overlooking the flag roundabout and welcoming drivers to the highway bearing his name. The contract to restore the bust was set at $10,000.
