On Saturday Anglican Cathedral College held a telethon to raise $13,000, which had been stolen in a robbery during registration week in June. Well ACC raised the $13,000 and then some. The school is still tallying figures but so far $8,500 came in from pledges made on Saturday. That is in addition to $7,000, which was directly solicited by the school from specific donors. That adds up to $15,500 and when it is added to sale receipts from barbecue and the bake sale at the telethon – the school raked in close to $20,000. Though impressive, the $20,000 still falls short of their target of $25,000. The school today expressed appreciation to all those who contributed to the event.
