International newshounds always say that if you want solid international television news, forget CNN and Fox, go straight to BBC world. Well, that choice may not be around much longer. 7NEWS has learnt that the negotiations have broken down between the Cable Operators Association and those who internationally license BBC World and BBC America. Presently, the signal is pirated, and the licensors were trying to work out a sale package, but it cost too much and no compromise was reached. With that, the Cable Operators Association has been left with no choice to advise operators to remove BBC World and BBC America from their cable offerings by mid month.
