And while you might think that nothing could be as devastating as a volcanic eruption, the effects of climate change in the form of hurricanes shifting shorelines could just give La Soufriere a run for its money.

Carlos James joined over 100 of his global ministerial colleagues in addressing COP26's plenary this evening. In that speech, he kept up the pressure urging Larger emitters to consider the plight of small island nations asking them to work with us to both mitigate disaster and to help us adapt when disaster inevitably strikes.
