Bouys For Port Authority

Tonight, The Belize Port Authority is in possession of four brand new buoys which have been designated for easier, and more environmentally friendly navigation for getting through the channels that lead to Belizean waters.

Today Ports Commissioner, Major Gilbert Swaso told us what sensitive areas he plans to deploy them to and just how he believes they will demonstrate the safe areas.:

Swaso also told us that he expects the buoys to be used by traders and passenger boats.

The hope is that these sizable navigation tools will stop vessels from running aground and causing environmental damage while risking the loss of life.
