Visibility For Health Workers

The Head of Cooperation at the European Union, Aniceto Rodriguez-Ruiz today visited Community Health Workers in Belmopan and handed over several supplies that were funded through the four year project, Health Sector Support Program Belize, or HECOPAB. According to Ruiz, the Community Health Workers are the backbone of the community, especially during the pandemic. He also mentioned that the EU will continue to fund HECOPAB until the program ends in 2025.

But apart from the supplies these health workers also received much-deserved visibility and recognition. The Minister of Health praised their efforts in his speech. Here is a snippet:
