Yesterday, we showed you how the floodwaters were making their way to the Belize River Valley area and, as usual, the Crooked Tree causeway was starting to flood. However, starting yesterday evening, the Coast Guard had already begun ferrying residents through the water.
And according to the hydrology report for today, flood levels will continue to increase, affecting villages such as Big Falls, Willows Bank, Double Head Cabbage, and others in the area.
On the Crooked Tree Lagoon, flood levels are 0.59 meters above the causeway and will continue to increase slowly.
