And while we're not sure if Dr Marvin Manzanero is on that vaccine list, we are sure that he still doesn't have an office - meaning the Ministry of Health still has no DHS. Dr Manzanero reported to work since his administrative leave was up today. And, the acting DHS has moved back to her substantive post, but reports tell us that Manzanero found that his keys no longer worked, since the locks on his office had been changed.
We asked the Minister about the additional responsibilities that the deputy DHS has to take up because of this.
As for Dr Manza, he said he's not willing to rehash that issue.
Hon Michel Chebat, Minister of Health and Wellness
"There has always been one and that is Dr Francis Murrey and Dr Murrey is really in charge of all the hospital services and so forth. He deals with all of that and now he's been assigned some additional duties that the DHS would also carry."
Courtney Menzies:
"Well, today was Dr Manza's first day back at work after being on administrative leave and we understand he got back to work and the locks on the DHS office were changed."
Hon Michel Chebat, Minister of Health and Wellness
"Well I have not been there but we have said very clearly what the position is with Dr Manzanero and I do not intend to go back and rehash that."
Reporter
"Where will he be placed?"
Hon Michel Chebat, Minister of Health and Wellness
"I am sure there is going to be some office space there for him."
As we previously reported, Dr Manza was offered two positions - both of which amounted to demotions - but the Minister says he would get the same pay.
