And speaking of pay, while we had the minister, we asked him about his pay cut - or lack thereof since reports tell us that his end of month pay is the same as last month's.

We've previously told you that the ministers didn't see the cut for the first month and a half of 2021, but that it would be reflected in the end of month paycheck and would also be taken out retroactively.

So why didn't Chebat get his cut? Well, he said he doesn't know - in fact he didn't even know he had been paid as yet. But he's planning on rectifying the situation.

Hon Michel Chebat, Minister of Health and Wellness
"Well you need to show me because I would like to see a copy of mine, I have not seen one yet, so please share it with me."

Reporter:
"Would you notice a change in your salary deposited?"

Hon Michel Chebat, Minister of Health and Wellness
"Well I haven't seen one deposited for this month yet."

Courtney Menzies:
"Well in the event that it is unchanged, would you take that up with the Ministry of Finance?"

Hon Michel Chebat, Minister of Health and Wellness
"Obviously, we have a commitment for that reduction and we're serious about reduction and the financial secretary has not reduced it then he needs to reduce it. This is a firm commitment, man, I don't pay myself, they pay me, and they have an obligation to take this down, we have already committed to this."
