TIME’S RUNNING OUT ON TB

2020 may have been the year of COVID-19 but it was also a year in which Belize Belize recorded 72 new cases of Tuberculosis.

And while COVID adversely affected the elderly, Tuberculosis was wreaking havoc on the young and the not too old, with the age groups most affected between the 15 to 54 years of age.

These numbers were released today on World Tuberculosis Day celebrated by the Ministry of Health and wellness under the theme, "The Clock is Ticking."
