And, with young children among the carriers, you might be asking yourself how yet another limitation on the curfew is supposed to help to stop the spread.
It's a question that's been asked in many many circles and this evening when we put it to the Deputy Regional Manager of the Central Health Region she told us that while COVID moves just as well during the day as it does the night, you're less likely to congregate on the job than you are in the bar.

"What is the utility of restricting movement at night when there are so much movement during the day?"
Dr. Melissa Diaz Musa
"There is a lot that would go into that that generally people won't see. If you have, for instance, a curfew, a curfew loss of people say that doesn't work and the virus moves at night, but the thing is that if we have plans after work, if you have plans for a party or for a get together or for some kind of celebration to go out, if you know that at 7 or at 6 you know you can't really stay the entire time etc., its helps you - people might say it dissuades you from congregating and all we are asking for at this point is to reduce congregation, because people won't congregate at a dinner table or at a bar or at a party and have their mask on or be physically distant like you would probably at your work place and things like that and especially because more than likely when you congregate it's with people outside of your immediate family. So you might meet with friends, with someone from another district or somebody comes into Belize City from the islands etc. So you are seeing that if 5 people are out, they are not necessarily 5 brothers and sisters or family members. So you know if one person is positive there, you have 4 different families now exposed to the virus. So reducing movement I think, it's really important for us to understand what movement is. Don't do things if it's not absolutely necessary at this point. Try not to be socializing, no parties are being recommended at this time and if we try to do all these things we can strike a balance of keeping businesses open, keeping the economic aspect of our country open and keeping covid at bay as best as possible."
Dr. Diaz also made a plea to the general public to help her and her team to stop the spread by accessing any of the 4 vaccines available at this time.
