But even if you aren't going across the border, you're still expected to keep washing your hands and social distancing to prevent catching COVID yourself. And if you do have it, continue isolating, just like what Prime Minister John Briceno had been doing this week. As we've reported, he tested positive on his return from Honduras last week, but he believes he got it before he even left the country. And while he was there, he met with officials from other countries. He had close contact with the Taiwanese Vice President, Lai Ching-Te, and even though they were both wearing their masks, the Taiwan VP still took a COVID test. His result was negative and according to Taiwan news media, he and his entourage took COVID tests everyday during their stay in Honduras, before they departed, during their layover in San Francisco, and when they returned back to Taiwan. The last one he took was yesterday. All the tests have been negative. So, the PM definitely doesn't have to worry about giving a trusted ally COVID.

And back home, according to a release from the government's press office, PM Briceno has been declared clinically recovered and non-contagious by the public health system after completing his time in isolation. So, we expect he will be at tomorrow's house meeting leading the proceedings as usual.
