The Ministry of Health and Wellness has released data on all the weekend COVID testing. Tonight, they are reporting that one more person has died of COVID-19.
That victim is an unvaccinated male, which now brings the country's total death count to 630.
Over the last 3 days, a total of 3,323 persons were tested, and of that amount, 635 COVID-positive patients were newly identified - FOR A 19.1% POSITIVITY RATE.
The Cayo District had most of the new cases with 155 positives. 152 cases came from the Belize District, with 119 of those coming from Belize City alone.
Those new patients make up a total of 6,147 active cases for COVID in the country at this time.
There are 19 patients who are currently hospitalized. Of that number, 6 are admitted to intensive care. Of those 6, 4 are unvaccinated, 1 is partially vaxxed, and the other is fully vaxxed.
