COVID Infection Rate In Double Digits

As we've reported before, the COVID numbers are on the increase. Today the positivity rate jumped to 10.1% - a relatively high number compared to recent weeks - and the sixth straight day with a rate greater than 5%.

Today there were 107 new confirmed cases and nine reported hospitalisations. And while there are no deaths reported, the active numbers have risen to 566.

And, the effect is showing in at least one city school. Wesley High wrote to parents today saying that classes are going back to distance learning for the remainder of this week as a result of the COVID 19 outbreak among faculty members.

Students report back to campus next week.
